The Peabody-Burns Warriors won just one of five matches at a home volleyball tournament Saturday.

“It was an adjustment,” Gann said. “We went three sets for the games but just couldn’t finish them.”

Though the team didn’t win many games, it was a good learning experience to see what needed to be adjusted.

“This weekend was great because we found the spots we really need to work on,” Gann said. “The first few games we were working out the kinks and learning what to prepare for next time.”

Sydney Hodges, a sophomore, performed well, Gann said.

“She had an awesome game blocking,” Gann said. “She really got us inspired.”

The Warriors will next face the Goessel Bluebirds Tuesday at Goessel.
