Trump gets no respect at meeting
Staff writer
A Halloween visit from the president provided comic relief during Tuesday’s county commission meeting.
A man wearing a Donald Trump mask stood in the door to introduce himself and talk to commissioners.
Trump, who sounded suspiciously like Marion resident Roger Hannaford III, told commissioners “We’re going to make America great again.”
“I have one thing to say to you,” commissioner Randy Dallke cut in.
“What’s that?” Trump asked.
“You’re fired,” Dallke said with a wave of his arm.
Trump covered his chest with his hand and exclaimed, “Oh, no.”
Commissioner Kent Becker had the final say.
“Go drain the swamp,” Becker said.
