The Warriors traveled Friday to the Beloit Relays.

“It was a pretty tough day at one of the oldest track and field meets in the state,” coach Grant Thierolf said. “The weather kept most performances from being great but we did have something that went OK for us.”

Marion boys finished 18th overall as the girls finished 22nd out of 30 teams.

Top finishers on the team were Kellen Waner who won in pole vault; Mckinnon Waner second in discus; and Gabby Newell third place in 100 hurdles.

Tristen Dye took fourth in the 800, and Quade Williams took fourth in the shot put. Kayla McPhail finished fifth in the 100, and Chance Shults finished fifth in the 110 hurdles.

The Warriors will continue their season Friday at Remington.
