Scott Alcorn

Scott Alan Alcorn, 43, passed away Monday, Oct. 4, 2017.

Scott was born April 3, 1974, to Richard and Eileen Alcorn in Wichita, Kansas. He attended Valley Center grade school before the family moved to Peabody in 1985. He was a 1985 graduate of Peabody High School, where he had a perfect attendance. After graduation, he went to Salina Vo-tech where he studied horticulture. He worked for Fox Ridge Golf Course for a few years, then at Mid-Kansas Coop where he was a location service specialist for 20 years.

He loved to bowl and often went to tournaments. He enjoyed collecting M & M items and baking. Scott would have bake sales and donate the money to the Peabody Food Bank. He enjoyed going to his brother David’s to hang out, eat, and watch football and NASCAR. He also enjoyed going to auctions.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen Alcorn, and his grandfather, Alfred Schnoor.

Scott is survived by his father, Richard Alcorn and companion, Robin Negaard, of Peabody; brother David Alcorn and companion, Angela Williams, of Marion; step-sister Angelia Mann and husband, Michael, of Newton; nieces Kelsi Baldwin and Makyla Mann; nephews Caleb Williams and Michael Mann; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family, and friends; and his dogs, Milo and Odie.

Memorials may be designated in his memory to Peabody Food Bank Association of Churches in care of Baker Funeral Home, 114 Sycamore St., Peabody KS 66866, or Susan B. Komen for Breast Cancer, 5005 LBJ Freeway Ste. 250, Dallas TX 75244.

Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017. Services were Monday, Oct. 9, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel, Peabody.
