Salon has new hair stylist
Staff writer
Trinity Smith is a new hair stylist at The Cut Above at 111 E. Grand Ave. in Hillsboro.
The native of Eureka started at the end of September. She does color, cuts, waxing, and nails.
“I always wanted to do this ever since I was little,” she said. “I graduated from high school early and decided to get started.”
She trained in Wichita and worked there for two years before coming to Hillsboro. She lives in Peabody.
“I enjoy what I do, and I like the small town life,” she said. “People are so friendly.”
Jeanne Penner has owned the salon since 2002. In addition to Smith, she employs a massage therapist.
