Ronald Clyde Kieferle was born at Marion, Kansas on Aug. 13, 1927, to Clyde Conrad Kieferle and Clara Bell Adams Kieferle. Ronald passed away Oct. 20th at CMH Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.
Ronald was raised in central Kansas in the Youngtown community.
He graduated from Marion High School with the class of 1945.
Ronald was united in marriage to lIa M. McClelland at Temple,
Texas, on Jan. 13, 1951. Ronald served in the United States Army
from 1950 to 1952. He is a 60-year member of the American Legion. He was also a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars, as he served in Germany during the Korean War.
After Ronald’s discharge from the United States Army in 1952, the couple moved to Peabody, Kansas. He worked for the Peabody Gazette
newspaper, then the Newton Kansan, retiring Dec. 31, 1989. Ron and lIa moved to Bolivar, Missouri in 1995 to be near family.
Music was a big part of Ron’s life, having played the accordion with the Peabody Plainsmen for over 45 years, and the Blue Aces Polka Band out of Pilsen, KS for 10 years.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, lIa Kieferle; Bob and Ernestine McClelland of Buffalo, Missouri; David and Patti McClelland of Hillsboro, Missouri; Carol and Gary Ballard of Buffalo, Missouri; Phyllis and Ed Goettee of Halfway,
Missouri; Allen McClelland of High Ridge, Missouri; and many qreat and qreat-qreat
nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday October 30 from 3:30 to 5:30 at Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church, 1457 East 464th St., Bolivar MO 65613.
A memorial service will be held at Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church,
on Oct. 31, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date, with
inurnment at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Gilead United
Methodist Church, Bolivar, Missouri, in memory of Ronald Kieferle.
“Today the Lord called home an amazing man. My Uncle Ron was the most kind, caring, loving soul you will ever meet! He held a wealth of wisdom and knowledge. He could tell you the history of Bolivar, how much rain we got last year, who got married or passed away from week to week, and always the latest and greatest news around Bolivar. He loved the time with his daily coffee group, and I know his presence will be greatly missed. But most of all, he was the picture of what a Godly husband should look like. He loved my Aunt Ila with all his heart and it was evident in everything he did. He loved our family with everything in him and will be greatly missed! Love you dearly, and may your soul rest in peace.”
