Richert breaks school record

Hillsboro

Riley Richert broke a school record Thursday at Sterling, placing second with a time of 19:44.

Quinlyn Funk was fifth at 20:11; Jaidyn Frantz, 13th at 21:24.

Wyatt Dies led the boys with a time of 21:01, followed by Ben Werner at 23:00, Casen Steinert at 23:42, and Elijah Holmes at 26:35.

The last meet of the regular season will be Thursday in Larned.

Marion

Marion boys took second Thursday at North Newton.

Luke Wessel finished second individually, Eli Klenda was seventh, Zayden Janzen 21st, and Harrison Beery 25th.

Brooklyn Beery finished ninth among girls with a time of 22:29. Izy Branson was 22nd.

“It was great to see some of our competition today that we will see next week at league and the following at regionals,” coach Jason Hett said. “We know where we need to be and the next couple weeks we will continue to work to finish strong and break the wall.”

The Warriors last meet of the regular season will be Thursday at Harvey County East Lake.

Goessel

Eli Gaeddert finished fourth in the 5,000 meter race with a time of 17:23.43 Friday at the Bethel College course.

Levi Olson was 13th with a season best 18:33.24, and Aidan Impson (29th) turned in his best time of the year, 19:31.56.

Goessel will race Thursday at Wedgewood Golf Course near Halstead.
