April 9 — Reports of suspicious activity in the 200 block of N. Main St. and the 600 block of E. Second St. were investigated.

April 10 — A report of a clown lying in the middle of K-15 and a non-injury accident in the 200 block of N. Lincoln St. were investigated.

April 11 — A welfare check was performed in the 200 block of N. Jefferson St. Investigated were a parking complaint in the 100 block of S. Birch, truancy report in the 300 block of N. Birch St., harassment complaint in the 200 block of S. Jefferson St., and a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of N. Jefferson St. Sheriff’s deputies were assisted with an injury accident.

April 12 — An inquiry about placing a large storage container in the street was investigated.

Thursday — A report of a disturbance in the 400 block of E. First St. and a dog running free in the 300 block of N. Jefferson St. were investigated.

Friday — A report of potential identity theft was taken and a commercial alarm in the 900 block of E. D St. was investigated.

Saturday — Officers checked a non-injury accident at Santa Fe St. and US-56, a report of possible computer fraud in the 200 block of Elm St., and a report of strange noises in the area of Hillsboro Aquatic Center. An officer determined the noises to the sound of frog and toad mating calls.

April 11 — A non-accident in the 300 block of W. Main St. was investigated.

April 12 — A warning for no tag light near Remington Rd. and US-56 was issued. A motorist was arrested on two outstanding warrants after stop for a traffic infraction at Upland Rd. and US-56 was performed.

Thursday — A complaint of a vehicle passing a school bus with the stop arm out and a report of criminal deprivation to property were investigated.

Friday — Citations for speeding in the 300 block of W. Main St. and no proof of liability insurance and speeding near Third and Main Sts. were issued. A welfare check in the 500 block of Walnut St. was performed. A disturbance in the 100 block of E. Main St. was investigated.

Saturday — An open door at the baseball complex was secured. A citation for speeding on US-56 near Eisenhower St. and a warning for no seatbelt near Third and Main Sts. were issued.

Sunday — A report of a possible burglary in the 100 block of Forest St. was investigated. Hillsboro police were assisted with a domestic disturbance.

April 12 — An information report for damage to property in the 100 block of N. Walnut St. was taken. A report of burglary of a motor vehicle and theft of a motor vehicle in the 900 block of Peabody St. was investigated.
