According to police reports released Monday:

hillsboro

Dec. 25 — A report of a person being chased by several people in the 100 block of S. Ash St. was investigated. A commercial alarm in Hillsboro Heights and a failure to pay for gas at Casey’s General Store were investigated.

Dec. 26 — A report of forced entry to Coach Lite Car Wash at Cedar and D Sts. was investigated.

Dec. 27 — A minor traffic accident at Hillsboro Industrial Park was investigated. Two warnings were issued to semi drivers who violated a truck route ordinance.

Dec. 28 — Police investigated a report of a minor being offered alcohol by an adult. Two harassments complaints were investigated.

Friday — Suspicious activity in the 200 block of S. Birch St. and a suspicious vehicle in Hillsboro Heights were investigated. A domestic disturbance in the 400 block of First St. was investigated. Several juveniles running around downtown were reminded of the city’s curfew. Two dog complaints were investigated; one dog was taken to a veterinarian the other was released to its owner.

Saturday — A report of suspicious activity in the 200 block of W. B St. was investigated.

Marion

Dec. 19 — A warning for an ice-covered windshield that obstructed a driver’s view in a school zone was issued. A possible scam was investigated.

Dec. 20 — A warning was issued for passing a school bus that had its stop sign out in the 110 block of E. Main St. A citation for no seatbelt near Coble and Lawrence Sts. was issued. A dog-at-large in the 800 block of Ash St. was investigated twice; the animal was not located either time.

Dec. 21 — A vehicle-owner parked in a no-parking zone was moved after the owner was contacted.

Dec. 22 — A possibly intoxicated driver was discovered to have been talking on a cell phone. Reports of reckless driving and a vehicle broken down in Central Park were investigated. Warnings for a brake light out and a headlamp out were issued.

Dec. 23 — An officer helped a motorist a spare tire on his vehicle at Main and Cedar Sts. Warnings for numerous traffic infractions were issued. A reckless driver on US-56 was investigated.

Dec. 24 — A speeding citation was issued on US-56 near milepost 302.

Dec. 25 — A report of illegal burning in the 200 block of N. Fourth St. was investigated; those contacted told police they would stop. Two commercial alarms in the 1000 block of N. Industrial St. were investigated; police discovered wind had blown a door open twice.

Dec. 26 — Possible damage to property in the 100 block of S. 3rd St., a report of nuisance dogs in the 400 block of N. 2nd St., and a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of N. 1st St. were investigated. An open door at a business in the 100 block of E. Main St. was investigated.

Dec. 27 — A warning for illegal display of a license plate was issued.

Dec. 28 — A non-injury accident near Kellison and Roosevelt Sts. was investigated. A report of two possible scams and a disturbance in the 300 block of Walnut St. were investigated.

Thursday — A bicycle theft was investigated. A semi running over a curb near Roosevelt and Main St. was investigated; no damage was done to the curb, and the property owners told police they would fill a rut that had been created.

Friday — A report of an injured deer being a traffic hazard on Sunflower Rd. just south of Marion was investigated, but no animal was found. Two reckless drivers on US-56 and US-77 were investigated. Four warnings for speeding were issued. Two deer carcasses were located on city property west of the sewer ponds; Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism was notified. A parking complaint in the 400 block of E Main St. and a noise complaint in the 400 block of N. 2nd St. were investigated.

Saturday — A non-injury accident was investigated.

Sunday — Nothing reported.
