Dec. 5 — A report of child truancy was investigated, animal control duties were performed, and citations for speeding, failure to yield, and an equipment violation were issued.

Dec. 6 — A fuel drive-off was investigated, a citation for a registration violation was issued, and a motorist in distress was assisted.

Dec. 7 — A theft complaint at Tabor College and a telephone harassment complaint were investigated. A property issue was determined to be a civil issue.

Thursday — A possibly drugged driver, non-injury accident, and tenant/landlord dispute were investigated. A citation for an obstructed windshield was issued.

Friday — A criminal damage to property complaint was investigated.

Saturday — Property at issue between roommates was deemed a civil issue, and a non-injury accident and a criminal damage to property complaint were investigated.

Sunday — Sheriff’s department was assisted with an accident investigation.

Marion

Dec. 5 — Warnings for speeding and no trailer lights were issued. A report of illegal dumping in the 300 block of Garfield St. was investigated. The welfare of a motorist stopped in the middle of the 100 block of Industrial St. was checked. A pedestrian on US-56 was assisted near milepost 302.

Dec. 6 — A welfare check was performed and an arrest warrant was served.

Dec. 7 — A report of a tractor-trailer parked in a residential zone was investigated.

Thursday — A civil matter was investigated.

Friday — Three citations for various traffic infractions were issued. A warning for a vehicle left of center in the 200 block of Grant St. and a speeding warning near 3rd and Main Sts. were issued. A welfare check in the 200 block of Grant St. was performed.

Saturday — A possible disturbance in the 700 block of N. Cedar St. was investigated. A warning for a tag light out on US-56 was issued.

Sunday — A report of an unattended death in the 1500 block of E. Main St. was investigated. A speeding citation on US-56 was issued. Officers assisted Marion ambulance with a fall patient at St. Luke Hospital and the sheriff’s department with locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident.

Dec. 5 — Police filed an inoperable vehicle complaint with the city prosecutor. Officers responded to an alleged domestic battery situation in the 700 block of N. Elm St. Chief Bruce Burke said an alleged victim refused to sign a complaint.

Dec. 6 — Police assisted Marion County Sheriff’s officers with an alleged domestic battery situation in the 700 block of N. Elm St.

Dec. 7 — A health and safety nuisance violation letter was sent by certified mail to an absentee landowner.

Friday — A report of criminal damage to property was filed for a residence in the 400 block of N. Plum St.
