Nov. 13 — A report of possible child abuse was investigated. A search warrant for illicit drugs was executed in the 300 block of N. Washington St. with the sheriff’s department. A report of a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of E. 1st St. was investigated. A dead deer was removed from US-56.

Nov. 15 — A report of a possible gas leak at Hillsboro Elementary School, a theft at Tabor College, and a child custody dispute in the 900 block of E. D St. were investigated. A parking complaint in the 500 block of E. D St., dog complaint in the 100 block of S. Ash St., and traffic complaint in the downtown area were investigated.

Nov. 16 — Possible drug use, a driving complaint in the 300 block of N. Jefferson St., and child custody dispute in the 900 block of E. D St. were investigated. A driving complaint in the 300 block of N. Jefferson St. and complaint of children being bullied were investigated.

Thursday — Parents were spoken to in reference to a bullying problem. A report of a dog at large on N. Ash St. was investigated.

Friday — An abandoned vehicle in the 400 block of S. Main St. was investigated.

Saturday — McPherson County police were assisted with a possible stolen vehicle report. A traffic complaint on US-56 was investigated.

Sunday — Two commercial alarms in the 500 and 900 blocks of E D St. and an assault complaint in the 300 block of W. 3rd St. were investigated.

Nov. 14 — Two warnings for speeding were issued.

Nov. 16 — A warning for an expired vehicle registration in the 100 block of S. Roosevelt St. was issued. A report of a reckless driver in the 100 block of E. Main St. was investigated. A foot patrol of downtown businesses was performed.

Thursday — A report of a deer ensnared in a rope in a backyard in the 100 block of Locust St. was investigated; deer was cut free. Two warnings for speeding in the 600 block of E. Main St. were issued. A non-injury accident in the 700 block of Hudson St. was investigated. A report of barking dogs in the 200 block of N. First St. was investigated; owner was contacted. A report of a reckless driver in the alley of the 200 block of Locust St. was investigated. A stranded motorist near US-56 and Cedar St. was helped.

Friday — A report of a vehicle passing a school bus while its stop sign arm was out was investigated. A welfare check in the 200 block of Grant St. was performed.

Saturday — Several warnings for failing to use child restraints were issued.

Sunday — Two warnings for parking where prohibited were issued.

Nov. 14 — A case was opened for violation of city’s health and safety ordinance. Police opened two new drug investigations. A theft of narcotics was reported at Indian Guide Apartments. Westar Energy reported theft of services and the case is under investigation. Police assisted Peabody ambulance with an alleged suicide attempt incident. The individual refused transportation.

Thursday — Police took a complaint of trespassing. The case is under investigation. Nicole Ryan, Peabody, was arrested and charged with driving with no ignition interlock devise.
