HILLSBORO

June 6 — Police issued curfew warnings and investigated a child custody issue, a report of trespassing at Zeiner Funeral Home’s parking lot, and an allegation of violation of an order of protection from abuse.

June 7 — A shoplifting complaint at Ampride was investigated. Police also met with a resident about an unauthorized relative entering the resident’s home.

June 8 — Police investigated a stalking complaint in 900 block of E. D St. and checked on the welfare of a resident of Birchwood Apartments.

Thursday — Police returned to the 900 block of E. D St. to investigate a complaint that an order against stalking had been violated. They also issued a citation alleging that a motorist was driving 53 mph in a 30-mph zone and investigated a report of juveniles out of control in the 400 block of S. Main St. and a parking complaint in the 200 block of S. Date St.

Friday — Police attempted to locate a reckless driver on 190th Rd., issued a citation for speeding and racing, and investigated a complaint of a dog running loose in the 200 block of Elm. St.

June 6 — A possible breaking and entering was investigated in the 200 block of Locust St. A report of suspicious activity was investigated in the 300 block of Eisenhower Dr.

June 7 — A motorist known to have active warrants and a suspended driver’s license eluded in the 400 block of S. 4th St. Police said the suspect was not located but charges will be filed. Traffic control was provided for malfunctioning railroad crossing arms.

June 8 — A warning for speeding was issued.

Thursday — Two warnings for speeding were issued in the 600 block of E. Main St. A citation for transportation of an open container of alcohol was issued near US-56 and Remington Rd. Two people who were in Central Park after curfew were advised to leave.

Friday — A non-injury accident in the 200 block of N. Roosevelt St. was investigated. A speeding citation was issued near Elm and Main Sts. Four warnings for no tag lights were issued on US-56. A foot patrol of downtown businesses was conducted.

Saturday — The owner of a large dog running at large was contacted after the dog was discovered in the 200 block of S. Freeborn St. A water leak was discovered in Central Park. Two speeding citations were issued. One citation was issued for driving on a suspended license. A disturbance was investigated in 300 block of N. Roosevelt St.; one party had left the scene, and the other declined to press charges.

June 6 — Police began investigating reports of sexual molestation, sexual exploitation of a child, physical abuse, and sexual abuse involving a juvenile. Found property was turned in to police.

June 8 — A cell phone turned in to police was returned to its owner. A report was taken about a possible violation of an order of protection from abuse in another jurisdiction.

Thursday — A lawnmower, reported stolen, was found. Rather than a theft, police determined the incident to be a civil matter.

Police took a theft report of a lawnmower. The mower was later found and the issue was determined to be a civil matter.

Saturday — Officers dealt with a suicidal adult who was found in Newton by Newton police, and transported to Newton Medical Center.
