Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

April 15 – A motorist was warned for vehicle exhaust. A motorist was warned for speeding in the 900 block of E. D St. A complaint of a barking dog was reported on W. B St. A street sign was reported stolen at Wilson and D Sts.

April 16 – A vehicle accident was reported on private property on S. Adams St.

April 17 – A report was made of juvenile harassment. A motorist received a citation for registration and insurance violations in the 700 block of S. Ash St.

April 18 – A motorist received a citation for an illegally parked vehicle in the 500 block of E. C St. Teenagers were warned for being out after curfew in the 200 block of N. Ash St.

April 19 – A motorist was warned for a defective headlight and improper registration display in the 200 block of S. Ash St. A motorist received a citation for an illegal U-turn and proof of insurance in the 100 block of W. Grand Ave. A motorist was warned for speeding in the 900 block of E. D St. A bike was found in the 500 block of S. Washington St. A civil standby was done in the 200 block of S. Madison St.

April 20 – A motorist was warned for defective equipment on US-56. A motorist was warned for speeding in the 600 block of S. Ash St. A motorist received a stop sign warning at Adams and A Sts. A motorist received a stop sign warning at Adams and 3rd Sts. Suspicious activity was reported in the 700 block of W. 2nd St., but it was children playing an Easter egg game.

April 21 – Tire debris was removed from the roadway at US-56 and Ash St.

Marion

April 15 – A report of possible door-to-door sales representatives turned out to be Jehovah’s Witnesses. A motorist was warned for improper display of registration in the 1000 block of N. Cedar St. An arrest warrant was unable to be served because the individual was not found. A possible burglary was reported in the 900 block of E. Main St., but no one was found and nothing was missing.

April 16 – An individual was warned for trespassing in the 100 block of Eisenhower Dr. A disturbance was reported in the 1500 block of E. Lawrence St., but no action was taken.

April 17 – A disabled vehicle was reported in the 300 block of E. Main St.

April 18 – An individual who spilled oil on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of E. Main St. received assistance with cleanup. A welfare check was done in Florence and everything was OK. A motorist was warned for a brake light out. A motorist was warned for a headlight out near Main and Freeborn Sts. A motorist was warned for illegal lighting near Main and Elm Sts.

April 19 – A welfare check was done in the 600 block of S. Roosevelt St., but everything was OK. A commercial alarm was reported in the 1100 block of E. Main St., but everything was OK. A motorist was warned for no tag light on US-56 near mile marker 302. A motorist was warned for no tag light in the 600 block of N. Cedar St. A motorist received a citation for an illegal U-turn and no proof of liability insurance near Main and Third Sts. A dog running loose in the 100 block of Billings St. was unable to be caught.

April 20 – A loose dog reported in the 500 block of N. Cedar St. was unable to be found. An unattended vehicle in the city park was reported, but everything OK.

April 21 – A motorist was warned for speeding.
