Peabody track is youthful

The Warriors will be a smaller team this season with only six athletes signed up at the moment, making the team young and inexperienced.

Missing several weeks last season because of a wrist injury, Chris Spencer is the lone returner.

“We are looking for him to have a good year in sprints and jumps for us,” coach Kody Tegtmeier said.

Joining Spencer this season in sprints and jumps will be Cade Gossen, who played baseball last spring.

On the girls side, Alexis Anderson, Hailey Hamm, and Chyanne Aydelott are new to the Warriors’ track team.

Hamm and Amderson both competed last spring for their previous schools.

Aydelott is a first-timer and will look to improve drastically as the season progresses.
