Paul Ediger, 96, died July 6 at Hillsboro Community Hospital.

Born July 12, 1919, to David and Sara (Flaming) Ediger at Dubois, Idaho, he married Marcella Buller on Aug. 12, 1947, in Newton.

She survives along with son Warren of Salina; daughters Chris Smith of Pretty Prairie and DaLene Unruh of Valley Center; sister Frieda Barkman of Warsaw, Indiana; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday at First Mennonite Church, where a memorial fund has been established.
