These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
SHERIFF
Aggravated battery
Westview Manor employee Terri L. Dye, whose age was redacted by the sheriff’s department from an open public record of the offense, suffered apparent broken bones after being attacked for unknown reasons by an acquaintance at 6:46 p.m. June 27 inside the nursing home at 500 Peabody St. in Peabody, according to an offense report filed by deputy Joshua Meliza.
According to monitored transmissions, Dye was one of two women attacked by a Westview resident and was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to NMC Health, Newton, with possibly broken ribs and an arm injury. The other woman, pregnant, reportedly was punched in the face and arm.
In an interview, undersheriff Larry Starkey said the resident, identified only as a 51-year-old man, was removed from the nursing home after the attacks and a subsequent attack the next morning on an unidentified 44-year-old nurse, who was bleeding from the mouth afterward.
Drug, weapon, and driving infractions and possession of stolen property
A 2019 Harley Davidson Softail motorcycle owned by Shaun A. Moore, Goddard, and valued at $7,000, was recovered after an arrest at 6:53 p.m. July 3 at Main and Church Sts. in Burns, according to one of two offense reports released Friday by the sheriff’s office.
Other items seized included a Targs revolver, five .357 magnum cartridges, a smoking pipe with residue, a bag containing 0.5 of a gram of a substance thought to be an illicit drug, and a torch lighter.
Offenses listed in a report by sheriff’s deputy Doug Callam included possession of stimulants, stolen property, and drug paraphernalia; criminal possession of a weapon by a person under the influence of a controlled substance; and driving a motorcycle without a motorcycle license, without liability insurance, and with a license plate not assigned to it.
Sean M. Blansett, 39, Burns, was arrested and booked into Marion County Jail. He was released 20½ hours later after posting a $10,000 bond.
HILLSBORO
Driving without a valid license
William K. Sedille, 54, Hillsboro, was arrested on suspicion of driving without a license after a traffic stop at 8:07 p.m. July 7 in Bomgaars parking lot.
He was released 25½ hours later after posting a $1,000 bond.
Offender registration violation
Stopped for an unspecified equipment violation at 11:43 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of N. Ash St., driver Dominic J. Bartel, 20, Hillsboro, was arrested on suspicion of failing to update his offender registration with purchase of a new vehicle.
He was being held Tuesday in lieu of posting a $100,000 bond.
Drug possession, suspended license
A trace amount of methamphetamine, two doses of THC, and a vape pen were seized during a traffic stop at 12:19 a.m. Sunday on190th Rd. near Mustang Rd,
Driver Alan C. Hassenplug, 42, Marion was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license, having an improper stop or turn lamp, and possession of stimulants, THC, and drug paraphernalia.
He was released 30 hours later after posting a $2,500 bond.
