Theft

G.W. Bean, 85, Hillsboro, reported theft of a cook stove valued at $150 from the front yard of his residence in the 300 block of S. Ash St. between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 9:45 a.m. Saturday.

Robbery and battery

Ryan Stepanek, 18, Hillsboro, reported he was walking in the alley between 1st and Grand Sts. west of Adams St. at 10:45 p.m. Saturday when an individual allegedly hit and threatened to stab him if he did not hand over his money, according to officer Randal Brazil’s report. Antonio E. Mitchell II of Murrieta, California, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and battery and taken to jail, where he later bonded out.
