Battery

Colton Tyler Gann, 28, Hillsboro, was arrested on suspicion of battery after he allegedly confronted and pushed Joshua Plenert, 38, Hillsboro, at 3 a.m. Aug. 14 at Plenert’s home in the 300 block of N. Ash St.

Driving while suspended, operating vehicle with no proof of registration or insurance

Floyd Bradley Howe, 76, Hillsboro, was arrested on suspicion of driving on a suspended license with no proof of insurance or vehicle registration at 6 p.m. Aug. 10 in the 400 block of Orchard Dr.

Marion

Possession of methamphetamines, schedule III narcotics, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, intent to sell

William Thomas, 42, McPherson, was arrested on suspicion of possession of multiple drugs and drug paraphernalia with intent to sell after assistant police chief Clinton Jeffrey stopped Thomas for failing to signal while turning at 12:43 a.m. Sunday near Eisenhower and Kellison Sts.

Canine officer Legion allegedly discovered 60 pills of Dronabinol, a synthetic form of cannabis requiring a prescription, eight .2-gram packages of methamphetamine, one .7-gram container of marijuana, and multiple articles of drug paraphernalia.

SHERIFF’S

Theft of property or services; criminal damage to property

Eight head of cattle valued at $10,400 belonging to Cody Schafer, 34, Tampa, were stolen Aug. 3 or 4 from a field on Diamond Rd. between 280th and 290th Rds. Access to the field was gained by breaking a $20 padlock and chain.

Burglary to commit theft; criminal trespass

Between July 26 and July 29, about $1,300 of household goods, home improvement items, and tools were taken from a residence on Holly Rd. between 180th and 190th Rds. Among the items reported missing by Douglas and Jessica Walles of Sedgwick were a $200 reverse osmosis water filtration system and a $180 red Schwinn chopper bike. Undersheriff David Huntley reported no force was used to enter the dwelling.
