Marion splits
doubleheader

Marion’s boys’ baseball team split a doubleheader Tuesday with visiting Chase County, losing the opener 14-4 but coming back to win the nightcap 13-3.

Friday, Marion dropped a pair to Inman, 11-7 and 11-5.

The Warriors are now 5-3 overall and 0-2 in the Heart of America League.

In slugfests Friday, Hillsboro split with visiting Halstead, winning 25-15 in the nightcap but losing 20-8 in the opener.

The Trojans are 2-2, all in Central Kansas League play.

In softball, Marion won 15-0 Tuesday over visiting Canton-Galva and swept a doubleheader Friday at Inman, winning 20-1 and 21-1.

The Warriors are 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the Heart of America League.
