Lois E. Peterson

Lois E. Peterson, 89, of Burdick died Monday at Legacy of Herington.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hebron Lutheran Church of Burdick. Her nephew, Bill Peterson will officiate, and inurnment will be in the church cemetery.

She was born Jan. 21, 1928, to Albert L. and Alice J. (Dody) Schroer in Burdick.

The 1946 graduate of Lost Springs High School worked at Burdick Meat Market for many years. She was a lifelong member of Hebron Lutheran Church.

She married Earl L. Peterson on May 4, 1947, at the church. He died in March 2008.

Also preceding her in death were brothers Laird Schroer and Gerald Schroer, and a sister, Ruth Riggin.

She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Miller of Grand Junction, Colorado; sons, James Peterson and Philip Peterson, both of Burdick; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial has been established for Hebron Lutheran Church.
