Lauren Enns

Former dairyman Lauren W. Enns, 89, died Friday at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

Interment will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Johannestal Cemetery, rural Hillsboro. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at Trinity Mennonite Church, Hillsboro. Family will receive guests from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.

Born Nov. 13, 1926, to Jacob and Sarah (Klassen) Enns at Hillsboro, he married Luetta Duerksen on May 7, 1948, at Lehigh.

He was preceded in death by his wife, brother Homer Enns, and a granddaughter.

Survivors include a son, Jim Enns of Hillsboro; daughters, Kathy Goentzel of Harrisonville, Missouri, and Teresa Bernhardt and Sherri Sells, both of Marion; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Memorials are requested for Mennonite Central Committee.
