Lady Warriors have fun in the face of defeat

Staff writer

Peabody-Burns faced Centre Tuesday at Centre for two tough losses against the Cougars.

Centre won all the games Tuesday night, but the Warriors put up a fight and didn’t let the smiles disappear from their faces.

“We have doubled our record from last year,” head coach Sheena Gann said. “We won three last year and seven so far this year. We are young team, so I feel like we are still learning.”

While the Warriors lost their games Tuesday, they are far from giving up.

“They have been so positive and have worked together so well,” Gann said. “I tell them to go have fun, which is number one.”

The Warriors are also looking forward to performing not only at their next few games, but at league as well.

“I’m excited for league,” Gann said. “We are not necessarily the underdog, but I think if we bring it we can pull some wins off.”

Warriors will play at home for the Peabody-Burns Quad game 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Peabody-Burns gymnasium.
