Kenneth L. “Ken” Throop, 80, died Feb. 7 at Salem Home in Hillsboro.

Cremation has taken place. A private family service is being planned. 

He was born September 16, 1936, to George and Hattie (Stratton) Throop at Watford City, North Dakota. 

He served his country with the United States Army, and was an auto body technician for many years in Hillsboro. 

Children Tyler Throop, Sandra Throop and Debra Morse preceded him in death.  

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Evelyn Throop of Hillsboro; children Victoria Galvin of St. Charles, Missouri, and Jeffrey Throop of Hillsboro; sister Pearl Birth of Enterprise; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
