Judith Reno

Former nurse and Marion resident Judith Reno, 79, died Thursday at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 1, 1937, to Rhonald and Mary Ruth (Judy) Hogg at Pratt. She married Roger Wayne Reno on Nov. 26, 1959, in Wichita.

Reno was a public health nurse and administrator. She was a board member for Hospital District No. 1 from 2011 to 2015, serving as its president in 2006-2007, and St. Luke Foundation board member. As a member and past officer of St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary, she was instrumental in the creation of St. Luke Auxiliary Shoppe.

Survivors include her husband, Roger Wayne Reno of Overland Park; sons, Troy Reno of Overland Park and Mike Reno of Wichita; daughter, Kelly Reno of Denver, Colorado; sister, Janis Meredith of Wichita; and three grandchildren.

A private interment will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
