John W. Rupp, 77, died Jan. 10 at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.

A service was Friday at Marion Christian Church. Interment was in Marion Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 27, 1938, to Walter and Evalyn (Hauser) Rupp in Hillsboro.

He graduated from Marion High School in 1956, attended Wichita State University, and served in the Army. He was a retired commercial pilot.

He married Jeanette Russell Aug. 11, 1963, and had one daughter.

He was preceded in death by his wife.

He is survived by daughter Laura Baldwin of Marion; sister Marlys Jean Hollar of Wichita; and three grandsons.

A memorial has been established for Marion Christian Church.
