Lehigh native and former Marion resident Dolores Hett of Canton will celebrate her 90th birthday with a come-and-go reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Jan. 9 at Canton Community Center.

She was born Jan. 15, 1926, to Gustav and Louise Wiederstein in Lehigh, and married Donald Hett on July 6, 1943. He died Sept. 27, 1999.

She worked at the McPherson Memorial Hospital for 23 years. Her children include Donetta Marston of Pratt; Deanna Bruce and Donna Shields, McPherson; Darla Morris, Newton; Dennis Hett, Danny Hett, Darrin Hett, all of Canton, and the late Diane Toews. She also has 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
