Harold Winter

Harold Eugene Winter, 68, of Peabody, died March 13 at Newton Medical Center.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 17 at Peabody Christian Church. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Baker Funeral Home in Peabody.

Harold was born Aug. 7, 1947, to Herman and Norma (Laubhan) Winter in Marion. On July 25, 1970, he married Kathrine Freeburne in Fort Collins, Colorado. She survives.

Other survivors include sons Jeffrey Winter and Kendall Winter and wife Stephanie; three grandchildren, Zachary, Mya, and Adyson; and a brother, Dale and wife Deborah, all of Peabody; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Shirley; and stepfather Victor Riemund.

Harold was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the United States Navy for more than 14 years. After the Navy, he worked as a machinist for Westar Energy until he retired.

Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 95 in Peabody.
