HILLSBORO: 3rd at Marion

Hillsboro high golfers placed third at Marion’s 36-home invitational in Marion and third in Hillsboro on Friday.

The Trojan’s Frank Wichert shot the best score of his career with an 86.

The team’s scores of 390 and 392 were its lowest of the season.

CENTRE: Jirak shoots career best

On Monday, Elias Jirak and Mathew Madron competed in league meet at Halstead. Elias took second place and shot a career best 83. 

Madron and Jirak will both travel to Onega next Monday for the regional golf tournament. 

Elias Jirak shot a 92 at Marion’s golf meet last week, good for 10th place.
