May Friendship Day will be observed at a tea at 3 p.m. Friday at Valley United Methodist Church in Marion.

The theme is “Kindling New Fires of Love.”

Sue Clough will be song leader with Lydia Gates as piano accompanist. There also will be a scripture read, a skit performed, a Bible study handout distributed, and a Fellowship of the Least Coin offering taken.

Marion Church Women United sponsors the event.
