Faith Kornelsen

Services for Faith Kornelsen, 92, who died May 12, will be 1 p.m. July 18 at Rockland Community Church in Golden, Colorado. Burial was in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Born Nov. 7, 1933, in Hillsboro to Dan and Tena Foth, she graduated from Hillsboro High School and attended Tabor College, where she met Rodney Kornelsen.

They married in June 1953 and shared 57 years together until Rodney’s death in 2010.

Faith attended Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church growing up. She was among Blue Cross Blue Shield’s first female computer programmers in Denver, later working in Rodney’s commercial real estate business and built a successful career in travel consulting.

She is survived by daughters Carol Newman and Jacque Kornelsen, brother Ken Foth, and a grandson.

Her husband and sister Sylvia Kornelsen preceded her in death.

A memorial has been established with Jesus Film Ministry at Campus Crusade.
