Dec. 20

12:45 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported to St. Luke Hospital a man in the 200 block of Walnut St. whose leg would not move. Marion EMT also responded.

10:37 a.m. — A possible pneumonia victim was transported to St. Luke from 150th Rd. between Pawnee and Quail Creek Rds.

12:19 p.m. — Goessel firefighters were called to a controlled burn that got out of control. Mutual aid from Hillsboro firefighters was canceled.

2:24 p.m. — Peabody ambulance performed an advanced-life-support transfer from Hillsboro Community Hospital to Via Christi — St. Joseph, Wichita.

6:12 p.m. — Marion ambulance transported a diabetic from the 200 block of N. Walnut St. to Via Christi Hospital — St. Francis, Wichita.

8:04 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance performed an advanced-life-support transfer from St. Luke to St. Francis.

11:05 p.m. — Marion ambulance was called to the 1500 block of Main St. for a woman who could not get up, but the ambulance did not provide transportation.

Dec. 21

12:09 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance, Goessel first response, and Goessel fire were called to a rollover accident on 290th Ave. between Cherokee and Cheyenne Rds. In McPherson County but reported no injuries.

10:23 a.m. — A man in his 50s, who had passed out in the 200 block of N. Adams St. in Hillsboro refused transportation by Marion ambulance.

THURSDAY

8:16 a.m. — Marion ambulance, assisted by Marion firefighters, transported a fall victim to St. Luke from the 1500 block of E. Main St.

11:25 a.m. — A patient refused transportation after Marion ambulance responded to a medical alarm on Lois Lane at Marion County Park and Lake.

12:14 p.m. — Marion ambulance transferred a patient from St. Luke to Newton Medical Center.

12:53 p.m. — Tampa ambulance transported an air ambulance crew from Hillsboro airport to Hillsboro Community Hospital then back to the airport with a patient.

1:45 p.m. — Florence, Marion, and Peabody firefighters and Peabody EMTs were initially dispatched to a furnace fire at 7th and Doyle Sts. In Florence but the call was canceled seven minutes later by the first Florence truck on the scene.

2:01 p.m. — Peabody ambulance took a male patient from Westview Manor to St. Luke. A firefighter used a telephone to relay the dispatch to EMTs who apparently had been unable to hear the original dispatch.

FRIDAY

12:16 a.m. — Florence ambulance transported to St. Luke a man who fell down stairs in the 100 block of Washington St. in Marion.

6:58 a.m. — Peabody ambulance transferred a patient with abdominal obstruction and who needed advanced life support from St. Luke to McPherson Memorial Hospital. EMTs attempted by telephone to locate a paramedic to assist with the call.

11:27 a.m. — Ramona firefighters freed a daughter who had become locked in a bathroom in the 400 block of N. B St.

3:48 p.m. — Marion ambulance transferred a patient from St. Luke to McPherson Memorial.

7:57 p.m. — Hillsboro firefighters investigated an errant report of a possible propane leak near 150th and Indigo Rds.

10:57 p.m. — Peabody ambulance apparently transported an intoxicated person who had passed out in the 200 block of E. Division St. However, radio records of the disposition of the call were garbled.

SATURDAY

1:59 a.m. — Florence ambulance transferred a patient for St. Luke to Dole Veterans Administration Medical Center, Wichita.

3:50 a.m. — A woman reporting an anxiety attack amid a possible domestic dispute in the 100 block of N. Washington St. declined transport by Hillsboro ambulance.

12:08 p.m. — A medical alarm in the 100 block of S. Walnut St. initially resulted in a call to Peabody ambulance, but the alarm company reported four minutes later that it was a false alarm.

1:59 p.m. — A 63-year-old woman with a headache and high blood pressure was transported by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH from the 300 block of S. Cedar St.

5:50 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance took an air ambulance crew from the airport to HCH then back to the airport with a patient.

7:58 p.m. — Hillsboro, Goessel, and Lehigh firefighters were dispatched to a house fire in the 200 block of N. Prospect Ave. in Lehigh, but most were told 20 minutes later than they were not needed. Hillsboro ambulance briefly stood. The last units were released at 10:01 p.m.

SUNDAY

3 p.m. — Florence firefighters reported that power poles at 8th and Main Sts. were broken off.

monday

10:47 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance was called to the 200 block of Elm St. for a woman who fell and hit her head. No transportation was provided.
