Donley and Carol Duerksen of Goessel celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends May 28 at a barbecue on their farm.

They were married June 10, 1966, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, Goessel.

Donley was employed as an engineer at Hesston Corporation/Hay and Forage Industries in Hesston before owning and operating a forage/grain harvesting business the past 25 years.

Carol completed 31 years of teaching at Hutchinson and Moundridge high schools before joining Donley as a partner in Duerksen Harvesting.
