Dr. Seuss, a movie, and a makeover at the library

Marion City Library will offer a trio of events for children during spring break.

An animated movie about an Apatosaurus named “Arlo,” who makes an unlikely human friend in the world of dinosaurs, will screen at 2:30 p.m. March 16 in the Santa Fe Room.

The PG-rated movie is approximately 94 minutes long.

On March 17, Happy Hustlers 4-H club will read Dr. Seuss stories to children ages 3 to 8 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Santa Fe Room during the Library’s annual Dr. Seuss story time event.

Snacks will be served during the free event.

Librarians plan to glam up girls during a free makeover party from 10 to 11:30 a.m. March 19.

Participants will get their hair, nails, and makeup done.

“It’s a party that’s sure to be fun,” director Janet Marler said. “We will have fun with makeovers, crafts, and yummy snacks.”

Space is limited to 20 girls, ages 5 to 10, and pre-registration is required.

Parents should register at the library or call (620) 382-2442 to reserve their child’s spot.
