IN MEMORIAM:   Daniel Miller

Daniel Edward Miller, 63, died April 23, 2017, at his home in Hillsboro. He was born April 28, 1953, to Melvin and Mary (Detwiler) Miller in Goshen, Indiana.

He was Director of Aviation at Hesston College for 26 years. On April 14, 1979, he married Jaynette Miller in Hesston. She survives.

Other survivors include: sons, Bryant Miller and wife, Chrystina, of Goessel, and Vaughn Miller and wife, Caroline, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; daughters, Leslie Duerksen and husband, Lyndl, of Goessel, and Amreitha “Ami” Jeeva and husband, Pradeepan, of Bellevue, Washington; grandchildren, Ezra, Nayana, and Isaiah Duerksen, Obadiah Jeeva; father, Melvin Miller of Goessel; and sister, Kathryn Bontrager and husband, Mervin, of Shipshewana, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Stephen Miller; and an infant brother, David Miller.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Miller-Ott Funeral Home, Hesston.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Eastlawn Cemetery, Hesston. Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Hesston Mennonite Church with Pastor Brad Penner presiding.

Memorial donations may be made to Hesston College Aviation or to Goessel Mennonite Benevolent Fund, both in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, 303 S. Main, Goessel KS 67053.
