NEW JAILINGS

Bryce L. Hamilton, 31, Newton, arrested June 16 by the sheriff for twice failing to appear in court. Released 21 hours later without bond. Previously jailed April 7 for allegedly violating his probation and June 7, 2025, on suspicion of driving without a required anti-drinking interlock and while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked.

Philip D. Heathcock, 57, Florence, arrested Sunday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked. Released two hours later after posting a $2,000 bond. Previously jailed eight times for a total of all or part of 24 days between May 9, 2019, and Nov. 22, 2023. Previous jailings were for allegedly violating his probation three times, for failing to appear in court seven times, and on suspicion of possessing and distributing stimulants and of driving while a habitual offender.

Donald D. Hokanson, 44, Topeka, jailed Thursday for allegedly violating his probation. Held in lieu of posting a $1,500 bond. Previously jailed Dec. 3 to 18 for failing to appear in court; Dec. 11, 2023, on suspicion of violating an order of protection from abuse; and Sept. 28 and 29, 2020, on suspicion of domestic battery.

Mystery S. Prieto, 43, Peabody, arrested Sunday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of possessing stimulants and drug paraphernalia. Bond not set. Previously jailed five times for a total of all or part of 28 days between Dec. 13, 2020, and Dec,. 18, 2022. Previous jailings were on suspicion of possessing stimulants, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia; on court orders three times; on a Harvey County warrant; and for allegedly violating her probation.

Michael J. Sanchez, 39, Florence, arrested Friday by Marion police on a Morris County warrant. Released two hours later after posting a $10,000 bond. Previously jailed Feb. 7 on suspicion of having improper vehicle registration and Feb. 8 and 9, 2024, on suspicion of driving without a valid license.

Joshua J. Smalley, 42, Peabody, jailed Thursday for failing to appear in court. Bond not set. Previously jailed seven times for a total of all or part of 112 days between Jan. 22, 2018, and July 22, 2025. Previous jailings were for failing to appear in court twice; for allegedly violating his probation twice; on court orders; and on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, without liability insurance, and while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked and of interfering with law enforcement by falsely reporting a crime.

Erica P. Tamez, 44, Wellington, arrested Friday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of possessing an unknown controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Held in lieu of posting a $10,000 bond.
