Charley Onderek

Devoted angler and retiree Charley J. Onderek Jr., 83, died Friday at his home in Marion. No services are planned.

Born Jan. 8, 1933, in Prague, Oklahoma, he moved from Wichita to Marion with his wife, Beulah Mae “Bea” Geisler, in 1996. She died in 2010 after 43 years of marriage.

Survivors include sons Lance and Vance “Eddie” Onderek of Wichita; daughters Lila Bennefield-Lowrey of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Robin Sparbel of Wichita; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
