Charles Meisinger
Services for Charles William Meisinger, 85, who died May 15 near Goessel, were last week. Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
Born Sept. 19, 1938, in Marion to William Menno and Nila K. (Schlotthauer) Meisinger, he graduated from Marion High School in 1956 and received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Kansas State University.
He was a radioman in the U.S. Navy from 1961 through 1965 and worked at Hughes Aircraft in California afterward. He came back to Kansas to farm and later worked as an electrical and computer engineer for Bradbury Co. in Moundridge, retiring in 2003.
He married Ruth E. Jones on Jan. 1, 1989, in Abilene. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include brother Richard Meisinger of Marion; stepdaughter Gina Priem Millard of Robins, Iowa; stepson Greg B. Warnica of Marion; foster son Robin Ebersole of Newton; foster daughter Tammy Voorhees of Hutchinson; two step grandchildren; three foster grandchildren; and a foster great-granddaughter.
A memorial has been established with Newton Amateur Radio Club.
