Charges sought after fist fight

A July 14 fist fight in the 100 block of Eastmoor Dr. has led Marion police to recommend that charges of disorderly conduct be lodged against two people, both 18 or older.

“A report has been sent to the county attorney for review,” police chief Clinton Jeffrey said. “I will not be releasing names of individuals or suspects unless charged or arrested.”

According to an offense report issued in the case, home-owner Jeremy Ensey summoned an officer to the fight on the lawn of Ensey’s home shortly after 8:30 p.m.

According to monitored police and ambulance transmissions, at least one of person suffered a bloody or broken nose.

The dispute reportedly involved contact with an underage girl who resides elsewhere.
