Centre grad to address College of Agriculture

Staff writer

Carrie Carlson of Lincolnville, a senior at Kansas State University, has been selected to give the student address Saturday at commencement exercises for the College of Agriculture.

The 2013 Centre High School graduate has been a College of Agriculture Ambassador for four years, actively recruiting students for the college.

She also has been involved in undergraduate research and various clubs.

She said she was selected from among several students who were asked to submit a resume of their activities at K-State.

“It’s a great honor to be chosen to speak to the graduates before they enter the work force or go on to graduate school,” she said.

Carlson plans to be married in July and will start a job this fall as a quality assistant with General Mills Corporation in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Carlson is the daughter of Duane and Karen Carlson.
