Thursday

Homecoming bonfire and pep rally at the sand volleyball pit across from the park, immediately following the middle school football game. Public is invited.

Friday

Homecoming activities: candidate games, 1:25 on the practice field and the public is welcome; homecoming parade, 2:25 from the high school down Walnut St. to the 2nd St. intersection, followed by a pep rally. Crowning of king and queen, 6 p.m., at the football field. Homecoming game at 7 p.m. against Oxford.

Saturday

Scarecrow Festival judging at noon, Chili Cook-off at the HUB from noon to 2:30 or 3 p.m.

Homecoming dance from 9 to 11 p.m. at Brown Building. Tickets $3 by Thursday, $5 at the door. No ticket sales Friday.

Monday

Peabody City Council, 7 p.m., Peabody City Building.

“Peppernuts 2016” project will begin at Peabody Senior Center after lunch cleanup. Volunteers needed and appreciated.

Tuesday

Dr. Whitely will speak about health issues for seniors at Peabody Senior Center following lunch.

Wednesday

Peabody Police Chief Bruce Burke will speak about safety and protection issues for seniors at Peabody Senior Center after lunch.

Peabody youth groups, HUB, middle school 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., high school 7:30 to 9 p.m with Pastors Angela DeFisher and Rick Rehmert.

USD 398 Board of Education meeting, 6 p.m., central office.
