Thursday

Peabody Proud Brainstorm, 7 p.m., Peabody Township Library basement. Informal get-together to talk about where we go from here. What can we do to move the community forward? If you are interested in economic development, this meeting is for you.

Friday

Curbside trash pickup by Waste Connections. Waste Connections will make one pass through Peabody, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Be sure to have your pickup items properly bundled or enclosed and on the curb by that time. For more information you may call the city building at (620) 983-2174.

Saturday

Hazardous Waste unit at First and Vine streets will take household cleaners, batteries, auto products, paint, stains, and pesticides from 8 to 11 a.m.

Peabody-Burns High School National Honor Society, students from Burrton High School, and community volunteers will package meals for Numana in the new gymnasium beginning at 10 a.m. Volunteers are welcome.

One-act play, “The Actor’s Nightmare,” 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Brown Gymnasium, by PBHS theater department.

Tuesday

Peabody-Burns Band Barbecue Extravaganza and Spring Concert begins at 6 p.m. in the Brown Gymnasium. Food will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. and music starts at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday

Art Jam at Peabody-Burns Elementary School from 6 to 7 p.m. Parents and Peabody and Burns community members are invited to view Art Jam Showcase of art work by students preschool through fifth grade.

District Curriculum Committee meeting at 3:40 p.m. in the central office.
