Peabody-Burns Elementary School spelling bee, 2 p.m. at PBES multipurpose room. No one allowed in after 2 p.m. start.

Sunday

Peabody-Burns Recreation Commission open gym basketball and open weight room for adults, 2 to 4 p.m. No charge.

Monday

Martin Luther King Day — no school for Peabody-Burns students and staff.

Peabody Senior Center will be closed.

Tuesday

Deadline is 5 p.m. for P-B Rec commission trip to see Wichita Thunder hockey at 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at Intrust Bank Arena. Bus leaves PBHS at 5:30 p.m., returns at 10:30 p.m. Admission $20 each, no charge for transportation. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Wednesday

Dinner with the doctor at Peabody Senior Center. Dr. Randall Whitely will present information about health issues for seniors immediately following lunch.
