Burns Senior Citizens met Feb. 9 for its monthly meeting and potluck lunch. The flag was saluted and a short business meeting conducted after the meal. Lowell Larsen showed two videos — “Queen Mary” and “Howard Hughes and the Spruce Goose.” Sandra Heyman will have the program next month.
Jennipher Stucky was a Feb. 6 lunch guest of her mother, Marie Clark.
Ronnie and Patti Gaines attended Brooke’s basketball game in Burlington Feb. 6.
Greg and Zeola Langenegger and Joyce Kyle were dinner guests of Mary and Gary Langenegger on Feb. 7. Late in the afternoon, they went to the home of Eddie and Trish Niemczhk in Newton for a going away party for their son Matthew Newfield who will be leaving for Romania in a few weeks.
Al and Bonnie Plummer were supper guests Feb. 6 of Kay Hall in Newton. Other guests were Ben and Jean Plummer of El Dorado, and June and Ron Ford of Haysville.
On Feb. 7, the Plummers visited Todd and Shelby Plummer at Rose Hill and were entertained by their granddaughter, Emma.
