Alan Overton

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Spring Valley Mennonite Church, rural Canton, for Alan Overton, 77, who died Sunday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

He was born Feb. 22, 1944, in Colby to Arlie and Maudie (Smith) Overton.

He married Mary Wolf Aug. 16, 1965, in Colby. She died in 2015.

Survivors include sons, Arlie Overton of Marion, Keith Overton of Knoxville, Tennessee, and A.J. Overton of Halstead; daughters Brenda Stovall of Halstead, Cathy Keyes of Rush Springs, Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Spring Valley Church cemetery following the service.

A memorial has been established with St. Jude Cancer Fund.
