These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

HIGHWAY PATROL

US-56 west of Nighthawk Rd.

Carrie J. Stasch, 64, Marion, was taken by Marion ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital after her eastbound 2007 Cadillac Escalade crossed the centerline at 6:01 p.m. May 28, she overcorrected, and the sport-utility vehicle flipped onto its top in the north ditch.

According to monitored transmissions, she reported that she had fallen sleep and felt head and neck pain after the accident.

Marion firefighters also responded to the accident. Because their rescue vehicle would not start, Hillsboro rescue squad also was called until it became known that she was not entrapped in the wreckage.

The SUV was towed.

SHERIFF

K-15 south of 6th St. in Durham

Samuel L. Griffin, 77, rural Burns, damaged the windshield of his 2014 Toyota 4Runner at 4 p.m. May 29 when he drove it into a railroad crossing arm that was down and flashing, according to the sole accident report released Friday by the sheriff’s department.

No tickets were reported to have been issued.

US-56 at Remington Rd. / K-256

Two women were seriously injured when a southbound 2009 Mazda CX7 ran a stop sign and collided with a westbound 2013 Chrysler Town and Country at 10:21 p.m. Friday, according to a report requested Monday by the newspaper.

Mazda driver Huong T. Tran, 65, Wichita, was taken to St. Luke Hospital by Hillsboro ambulance and then transferred with multiple fractures to Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, according to monitored transmissions.

Chrysler driver Lisa A. Eades, 58, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was taken to Hillsboro Community Hospital by Marion ambulance and then transferred with a possible brain bleed to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

According to deputy Joshua Meliza’s report, Tran ran a stop sign while driving inattentively on Remington Rd.

Her car was listed as destroyed with damage to its front third, left rear, and undercarriage.

Eade’s Chrysler, owned by Pak Mail shipping and office services of Cedar Rapids, also was listed as destroyed with damage to its entire left half, hood, and undercarriage.

Mark E. Eades, 56, of the driver’s Cedar Rapids address, was riding in the back seat. He reported possible injury but was not taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Both vehicles were towed. No citations were listed as being issued.
