Kelly E. Koehn, 62, rural Galva, was taken by Marion ambulance to Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, after a semi-trailer truck he was driving tipped onto its side at 9:17 a.m. May 3 while attempting to negotiate a roundabout near Marion.

Deputy Aaron Christner’s report blamed the accident on a shifting cargo of rock being hauled in the trailer of the semi, a 2017 Peterbilt owned by K&K Gravel Products of Galva.

The trailer lost its load and rolled with the truck onto its right side. They were towed.

Initial reports of a fire and entrapment proved inaccurate.

US-50 east of Doyle St. in Florence
