According to law enforcement reports released this week:

hILLSBORO

200 block of N. Lincoln St.

While backing her 2013 Dodge Caravan out of her driveway, Kayla Renae Rader, 40, Hillsboro, stuck an unoccupied 2000 Chevrolet Silverado owned by Shannon Ellis of Hillsboro at 1:45 p.m. April 10 in the 200 block of N. Lincoln St. Police reports noted that Rader said she was using the Caravan’s onboard backup camera and believed that she was clear.

100 block of S. Birch St.

While backing and unspecified vehicle out of a driveway Christina Joy Mark, 42, Hillsboro, struck an unspecified vehicle owned by Sandy Scheel, age and residence information not provided, at 11 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of S. Birch St.

100 block of E. Grand Ave.

While backing her 2000 Lincoln LS out of a parking stall in the 100 block of E. Grand Ave. into the eastbound lane, Harriet J Suderman, 80, Hillsboro, allegedly did not see Martin Allen Fent, 47, Hillsboro, approaching in his 2008 Chevrolet Uplander and the two vehicles collided at approximately 3:35 p.m. April 14.

US-77 south of 80th Rd.

Neva Cooper, 59, Marion, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Impala that struck a deer at 8:10 p.m. April 12.

US-50 west of Quail Creek Rd.

Patrick O’Neal, 43, Hutchinson, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox that struck a deer at 12:40 a.m. April 13.

Goldenrod Rd. south of US-56

Bradley Shahan, 35, Hillsboro, was driving a 1993 Mazda Protégé southbound on Goldenrod Rd. when the vehicle went off the road on a curve, overturned, and flipped in the ditch at 7:20 p.m. April 11. Shahan suffered possible injuries when ejected from the vehicle and was transported by Hillsboro ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital. Inattention and driving too fast for conditions were reported as factors contributing to the accident.

US-77 north of 230th Rd.

Megan Johnson, 24, Port Orchard, Washington, was driving a 2006 Chrysler 300 that struck a deer at 8:40 p.m. April 10.

US-77 north of 270th Rd.

James McElfresh, 31, Wichita, was driving a 2007 Mercury Monterey when several deer reportedly entered the road at 6:48 a.m. April 10. One deer struck the vehicle in the driver’s front corner and door.

Chisholm Trail Rd. north of 100th Rd.

Destiny Johnson, 17, Goessel, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu when she reportedly lost control of the vehicle, overcorrected, left the road, and overturned at 9 p.m. April 12. Johnson and a passenger, Justice Johnson, 16, Goessel, were transported by Hillsboro ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital with possible injuries. The accident damaged a well pump owned by Dana Gleason.

US-50 east of Union Rd.

Ronald Hauder, 49, Barnett, Missouri, was driving a 2011 Toyota Sienna that struck a deer at 9:25 p.m. Thursday. Hauder and passengers Kathaleen Hauder, 47, Sharlene Hauder, 17, and Troy Hauder, 14, were reported to have possible injuries, but none required emergency transportation.

US-77 north of 90th Rd.

James Proffitt, 33, Great Bend, was driving a 2014 Jeep Compass that struck a deer a 8:28 p.m. April 7.

Sunrise Rd. north of 210th Rd.

Herbert Strauser, 59, Marion, was driving a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee when it caught fire at 9:50 a.m. April 7. Strauser stopped and exited the vehicle safely. Marion firefighters kept the fire from spreading to a nearby field, but the car was a total loss.

US-77 north of 300th Rd.

Jeremy Walters, 19, Halstead, was driving a 2007 Volkswagen GTI that was struck by a deer on the driver side door at 6:20 p.m. April 7. The vehicle was disabled and was towed.

US-56 east of Alamo Rd.

Cheryl Yount, 68, Hutchinson, was driving a 2003 Dodge Caravan that struck a deer at 6:23 a.m. April 8.
