According to law enforcement reports released Monday:

US-56 west of Chisholm Trail Rd.

A 2011 Toyota Corolla driven by Robert Herzet, 57, Hillsboro, struck a deer at 5:24 a.m. March 21. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

US-56 east of Ridge Rd.

A 2010 Dodge Journey driven by Shirley Yakesch, 78, Hillsboro, struck a deer at 8:45 p.m. March 16. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Kanza Rd. north of US-56

Jesse Allen, 22, Hillsboro, reportedly attempted to brake his 2000 Ford Taurus to avoid a dog while driving south on Kanza Rd. at 10:17 a.m. March 5. The vehicle reportedly started to spin, hitting the driver’s front side of a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina driven by Edward Weber, 54, Hillsboro, after Weber pulled out from a mailbox. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

80th Rd. west of Nighthawk Rd.

Cameron Bowlin, 26, Peabody, was driving a 2007 Yamaha Cylinder ATV westbound on 80th Rd. when the driver reportedly attempted to brake to avoid hitting a dog at 4:16 p.m. March 17. Bowlin was thrown from the ATV, which landed on top of him. Bowlin was airlifted to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

270th Rd. east of Mustang Rd.

A 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Travis Hamm, 37, Marion, was eastbound on 270th Rd. when Hamm reportedly swerved to avoid striking a deer. Hamm reportedly lost control of the vehicle, and rolled the vehicle on its top at 5:15 a.m. March 22. A fence owned by Kenny Funk, Hillsboro, was damaged. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

300th Rd. east of Alfalfa Rd.

Brenna Shields, 19, Lincolnville, was eastbound on 300th Rd. when she reportedly lost control on gravel and came to rest in a ditch after hitting some tree stumps at 11 a.m. March 20.

Kanza Rd. north of 175th Rd.

Shelley Rooker, 52, Hillsboro, reportedly lost control of her 2011 Ford Fusion while avoiding a coyote at 1:22 p.m. March 23. The vehicle broke a utility pole owned by Flinthills Rural Electric before coming to rest in a wheat field. The vehicle was towed.

Sunrise Rd. north of US-56

A 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Priscilla Bailey, 25, Marion, was southbound on Sunrise Rd. when Bailey reportedly lost control of the vehicle at 3:32 p.m. March 23. The vehicle left the road and overturned, coming to rest on the driver’s side doors. Neither Bailey nor her two passengers, Luis Perez and Christina Perez, reported injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
