600 block of Western Heights Dr.

Isabella Bezdek, 87, of Hillsboro side-swiped an unoccupied 2007 Nissan Altima owned by Suzanne Tillery, of Hillsboro at 11:40 a.m. Oct. 6 in the Dollar General parking lot Western Heights Dr while backing her 1989 Buick sedan.

600 block of Western Heights Dr.

Harold Bezdek, 67, of Hillsboro, and Marilyn Ratzlaff, 81, of Hillsboro, backed into each other’s vehicles at 2:30 Oct. 6 in the Dollar General parking lot. Bezdek drove a 2010 Nissan Altima and Ratzlaff was in a 2014 Buick Enclave.

400 block of Orchard Dr.

David Litwiller, 44, of Hillsboro, struck a clearance pole as he exited the parking lot at Rod’s Tire while attempting to make a call to his wife on a cell phone at 3:50 p.m. Oct. 5 in the 400 block of Orchard Dr. Police said Litwiller was not cited for inattentive driving because the accident occurred on private property.

200 block of E. Grand St.

A 1996 Dodge R15 pickup driven by Joshua Bohanon, 31, of Hillsboro, and a 2003 Honda Odyssey driven by Nichole Rivera, 36, of Hillsboro collided in the middle of the road at 2 p.m. Oct. 10 in the 200 block of E. Grand St. when both drivers were backing out of their driveways.

Police reports said neither driver appeared to have noticed they were backing out at the same time. However, Rivera told police she tried to put her van in drive to avoid the collision when she noticed Bohanon, but was unsuccessful.
