IN MEMORIAM:   'Vernie' Beaston

She wasn’t “The Greatest” boxer.

Not even a rock star!

But my happy Momma

Was a blessing to us all!

She sang hymns of praise to show her love!

She smiled and laughed and prayed.

Mom was on this earth to serve the Lord,

And she did it every day!

Though the past few years took a toll on her,

She continued to bring us joy.

My Mom is in heaven now.

It’s time for the Lord to enjoy!
